Adam and I (plus Rowan and Hamish) had a ‘ripping’ time at Mudgee last month. Considering they had had 100ml of rain that week, they did an awesome job of organising the event. Set up day was a bit boggy but nothing we couldn’t handle. The 2 days were cold, but we were expecting that! The sun shone most of the time, the wind blew and dried out the ground. We met old friends and new and sold one of the rippers (woohoo!).
We were somewhat surprised at the lack of interest in the vineyard rippers, considering the location, however, people stopped to ask and talk generally and Adam had quite a few leads. It was lovely to see people out and about again after such a long hiatus. The only down side was the terribly long wait for food! It certainly stopped us overeating!
It was a long trip for me, spending the first night at Narrabri, then the leg to Mudgee was pretty rough, dodging potholes big enough to take a bath in and mist and rain for most of the way. It was a relief to get there safely and with all my wheels intact.
On the home front, there are 4 bunk sweepers being built, a bit slower than I would like but a lot of sickness and some difficulty in accessing parts quickly has been an issue for us as for most people this winter. However, we continue to build quality, tough, Australian machinery, which, I think is pretty awesome given the current economic climate and the uncertainty of this fickle world.
Adam is keen to showcase our machines at Henty in 2023 so look out for us there.
