Bunksweeper Q & A
Will the bunksweeper suit our bunks?
Wide, round bottomed bunks are the easiest to sweep and our bunksweeper will sweep them clean. Flat bottomed bunks with rounded corners also sweep clean. If you have Chinchilla Tank style bunks, with straight sides and sharp corners these are more of a challenge! The bunksweeper, with a small rotor, will sweep the majority of the feed out but you may have to go along with a shovel or blower vac to clean in the corners.
What about intrusions into the bunks eg. rails encroaching inside the bunk or lugs inside the bunk?
These can cause problems, such as difficulty if you want to lift the sweeper out halfway along the bunk. Lugs inside the bunks will rip off paddles. Send us a photo and we will advise you.
How economical is it to use a bunksweeper instead of shovelling by hand?
Very! Clean bunks improve hygiene and cattle health. The bunksweeper drastically reduces the time need to clean the bunks, thereby reducing labour costs. The bunksweeper reduces the risk of back injuries.

Why do you use a V frame configuration?
Engineering tests have shown that V confgurations reduce hp requirements by up to 15%
I have requirements for customisation to best suit my operation. Can you build customised equipment?
We have an agile design process and are excited to help any farmers needs
